Our plans for this weekend changed when a snow storm decided to grace Minnesota with it's presence.
We were planning on going to Two Harbors to visit Pete's parents but decided against it so that we wouldn't get caught in the snow/ice/sleet driving back home :/
I am beyond ready for some spring.
this weekend I got see one of my besties Katy try on wedding dresses. She did say Yes to the dress and I am so excited for her! And I loooooved being at a bridal shop again! It was so much fun. sigh.
this weekend I browsed and browsed and browsed for houses! Pete and I have now met with a realtor (which turned in to a 2 hour meeting) and a loan officer to see if buying a house this year is even possible, and I can't say that we're 100% sure that it's going to happen, but we're taking steps to try. It's fun to imagine what our future home might be like, although it is likely to be pretty empty for a while until we accumulate actual adult, non-craigslist furniture.
this weekend I watched the Grammys, like everybody else on twitter. I have to say, I'm loving that JT is back on the scene.

Other than that, we got stuff done around the house and I played "hide and sneak" with my 3 year old nephew, Orrin. I am dreading the commute to work tomorrow, plus I have a dentist appointment tomorrow afternoon after a 2 year hiatus! I have so much anxiety. We have a busy week coming up which is already overwhelming me....but maybe a little mid-week treat on Valentines day might make up for that :)
How was your weekend?

I loved JT's performance too! He's just got his own, classic style that is just so different in today's music scene.
ReplyDeleteahhh I just love JT! He does no wrong in my eyes, I will always love him!
ReplyDeleteOh! I love planning weddings!
ReplyDeleteWe are on our second home and STILL have some hand-me-down/craigslist/salvaged furniture in some rooms. I did talk my husband into buying a new bedroom set last year and it has made all the difference. Matching furniture is a HUGE luxury! :) I'm sure it will all work out...and you will have a home that is all your own.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your house situation...if not this year, then soon!! It's so fun to be on the house hunt.
DeleteWishing you continued luck in your house hunt! And don't worry too much about the furniture...we had only our mattress when we moved into our current home and just a few years later our house is full of furniture (and so much more stuff!)...in fact, I think we need to have a garage sale this spring!
ReplyDeleteWhy does JT insist on being so cute?
ReplyDeleteI love JT. He is the best.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear how the house hunting stuff went. Drinks soon!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the house hunting. My husband and I are thinking about selling our townhouse and getting a single family... just thinking about it freaks me out.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think about JT's hair color? Looked like he dyed it... not sure how I feel about that one.
Winter storms like that do not make me miss MN at all. That's so exciting that you're looking at houses!
ReplyDeleteThe weather looks so gross! We are getting snow again this weekend--and it's kind of depressing because it's 50 degrees here today!
ReplyDeleteloved jt!! good luck with the house hunting!
