The Good, The Bad, The Fabulous! 2011: A Year in Review

{the good}

• Ringing in the new year with some of my bestest friends.  A tradition of ours.

• Seeing Ben Folds in concert..love him!
• Seeing Shrek: The Musical with Pete for Valentine's Day
• I was awarded a (small) research grant for my DNP project.
• We saw Usher in concert!

• One of my besties Stene's sweet baby girl Farrah turned 1!

• A super fun pontoon birthday party and some really good summer days out on the lake

• My nephew Orrin turned 2!

• A vacation with Pete to Florida to celebrate the end of my second year of grad school.

{the bad}

• starting out the year absolutely out of my comfort zone freezing in the woods.



• Struggling in my clinical learning how to function with a speculum.  And then I cried in front of my instructor at clinical.  (p.s. she was supposed to come back on my last day of clinic and she never showed!)
• Witnessing first hand how annoying people can be at the gym.  I will blame them for my inconsistent motivation for working out this year.
• I gave up Coffee for Lent..and got very sick!
• Minnesota was plagued with 8000 inches of snow last winter

• Gaining confidence in my skills. and Learning new ones.

• You know you're a Nurse Practitioner Student when....
• Synfully Delicious turned 1!
• I had my last first day of school!
• Nights out with friends

• An Amazing girls trip to Napa/Sonoma, CA: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, & Day 4

•   We got engaged and started planning our wedding!!  Definitely the absolute highlight of my year!

2012 is going to be an even more amazing year!
